So much for my GS3. Last night it suddenly showed me only the Samsung logo and that's all it does now. Wasn't using it at the time either. Googling suggests motherboard problem requiring replacement. All attempts to reload ROM have failed. This on the eve of me travelling overseas.

Should have bought from a shop who didn't lie to me that it was a local unit. Samsung Service showed me that it was imported from U.A.E. Have to pay out of pocket for a new motherboard!!

Is it much more expensive to just buy a new (local for real) phone? I'd bet it would be faster than waiting for a new motherboard at least.

3 hours and 6,000 baht later (1/3 the cost of a new phone), it's working again with new local motherboard. Now to see if Titanium Backup realy works and can restore it to the state that it was in yesterday.
