Looks like a different take. Will have to rewatch the original before May 9th.

Hollywood seems to have lost the ability to make a hokey / funny / not-so-serious scary or action movie. This looks like it's trying to be too serious, a real "horror" movie with no laughs (which the original had in abundance).

GI Joe, The Transformers - same problem. Trying to be too serious.

If anything, that makes it worse. It means they're selling out the Franchise. If Raimi was serious about it, he would have directed it!

Check the IMDB reviews, sounds pretty bad.
