Shipping to Singapore (no containers)

Post by baloo » 12th May, '10, 11:08

I need to ship something from Oz to Singapore. Borderlinx doesn't cover Aus so I'm stuck trying to do it myself. Not a huge box, 14Kg weight with dimensions of 54cm x 76 cm by 25cm.

Any suggestions ?

The Fedex jumbo box is usually attractively priced. if your company has a contract rate with Fedex, it could be a pretty good deal.

Otherwise, check with the Australian post, the rates are normally half of Fedex/DHL/etc.

If someone can put it in a bag/box already and put your address on it, post or Fedex.

Hell, that's all Borderlinx is anyhow (well, only slightly more where they will accept and ofrward it on).

We flew two boxes over from Brisbane airport (excess luggage!) via Qantas. They arrived after approx 4 days later (although it was a bit of a pain having to go and clear them at customs). The price was ok considering the weight (and much much cheaper than what we'd have paid for overweight luggage)

Aussie Post is more expensive than Borderlinx (DHL) from the States.

It will all depend on what the insurance company want to pay I guess. Throw it at them and let them deal with it.
