In what way ? Programs ? Quality ? Price ? Customer support ?

Are you relocating back this way ?

Customer support is better than I remember the support from any company in the UK. The fact you can get through to them in less than 10 mins (versus 30-40 mins in UK) is a real bonus.

You can always open and modify headers in firefox which will enable you to watch specific shows - eg. the daily show.

I've always been able to watch The Daily Show in Firefox, but not the show I tried to before LifeHacker.

Not sure about this header thingy you mentioned, I use a number of addins like NoScript and play with those for sites I can't view, but that doesn't allways work.

I'm using Witopia VPN. Costs about $50 per year and I can watch anything anywhere :geek:

Crap as in

- limited content
- limited or no on demand services
- poor picture quality
- poor user interface

I've actually always been very happy with Starhub Cust service and the cost was fine.

Hasn't changed much since the last time you left. I reckon they won't change anything on this platform as they'll be moving over the the fibre infrastructure eventually.

Question - is anyone using this and if so have it always-on or have you implemented a switcher or running a VM?

If u read their forum it's not meant to be on all the time . There is a program u can download to switch between the 2 .

I don't know how long this solution will last . The bbc will proably just block it if it become popular

The things you mentioned are the things I mentioned.

Was wondering if anyone implemented any of them.

Is anyone still using this?

I tried today but it doesn't seem to be working, looks like user error.

The status checker says "Tunlr DNS address is not set. Tunlr is not activated."

but I have:
Primary DNS server status (142.54.177.158) up
Secondary DNS server status (198.147.22.212) up

which is the override

Any ideas? I followed the Win7 steps, manually set DNS and rebooted. This worked back in October but doesn't now.

Right, seems like I'm not alone and they don't have a fix.

I just wanted to be able to see things like this:
Giraffe Battle | Africa
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50em1rV12X4

Where I get "The uploader has not made this video available in your country. " While I can usually find an alternate way as in this case, there have been a number of YouTube clips I've wanted to see where I get this message, and I was hoping Tumblr would get around that, though I may be mistaken.

Just found holo.org - it's an add-on to Firefox or Chrome, or you can get the Windows add-on. Seems BBC is currently not working but I was streaming from other sites last night (and hulu is listed as one that should work).

Looks good indeed. Going to try it on some sport over the weekend.

Hola works very well for hulu! Good picture quality, minimal adverts, little if any streaming buffering issues.

Still doesn't have BBC iPlayer support at the moment (by all accounts it did previously).
