I guess there will be a number of inspiring tales over the next few weeks, like the spirit of this athlete for whom the London Games has a particular significance. You go girl!

in my imagination, i thought the sitting volleyball would be played sat in wheelchairs ... wouldn't you get awful friction burns from scooting around on your bum for the duration of an entire game?!

They are sitting on mats (like wrestling mats or tumbling mats) and probably don't move that much.

The Para Olympics have certainly replaced for me the sense of what the able bodies Olympics originally stood for. (with an exception to those Iranian weight lifters)

Paralympics is really amazing because you can see a lot of people who don't give up on their dream for being athletic.
