No TC or GS for Wales this year then.

Well done to Ireland for hanging onto the lead in the second half despite a total turnaround from Wales. Unforgivably poor first half from Wales, with the exception of newbie Coombs plus Biggar and Halfpenny, the rest of the team looked as though they'd been tranquillised! Hard to watch the total decline from this time last year, hopefully a few will return from injury shortly though maybe not in time for France next week. Sigh.

Didn't see the Scotland v England game, France should beat Italy later to kick off their GS campaign.

Not seen any of the games but what I've read sounds like a heap of good rugby.

Wales blow themselves up in the first half but put up a spirited fightback in second, but not enough to overcome Ireland (and a rejuvenated bod - gotta be good for the Lions) . England take another step towards consistency (remember, the last few England Scotland matches have an average 4 point difference) and Italy shock France with some tough rugby.

Let's hope I find a suitable irish bar for the next round.

Not a pretty game in Paris, both sides played to avoid losing rather than to win - until the last 15 mins when Wales picked up the game with a few substitutions. And a lovely try by George North , Wales end an 8 match losing streak with a win in Paris!

Big improvement needed for the coming rounds, with Italy and Scotland away games up next. But hey, a win is a win.... and rather be where we are than France at the bottom of the table. Did feel for the French players being booed off the field, tough crowd...though they were pretty poor yesterday.

Scotland played well to comprehensively beat Italy, the Ireland v England game up tonight should be a close one methinks.

Finally got to seen the Eng Scotland game - it was a cracker. A couple of slips by England but all in all they controlled the game well.

Had to make do with the BBC text thing for the Eng Ire game and it sounded error-filled, and the team with less errors seemed to get the points. Good news that Eng won, having not won a 6N game in Dublin for 10 years.

Well done Wales for winning in Paris, never an easy job, and sounds like the French are still not out of the doldrums even though they had a good autumn. And it seems the scots controlled the Azzuri.

England are the only unbeaten team after round 2, and have gotta be looking forward to the French in 2 weeks at Twickers. Bring it on.

Looking at the French performance on Saturday against a decidedly average Wales, they will need a big turnaround to beat England and Ireland away.

Then again, it is France...so who knows!

Round 3 -with Wales heading to Rome first up. Things haven't always run smoothly for the Boyos in previous years against the Azzurri, hopefully they can improve on the performance over France and get another much needed win.

Then onto France v England, going to be a tough one for the French at Twickenham methinks. Though surely France can't play as poorly for the 3rd game in a row...? Ireland to beat a much improved Scotland tomorrow.

So, heart says Wales , France and Scotland...head says otherwise for at least one of those!

Italy Wales - Italy played well at home against France but poorly away against Scotland. The Welsh did play well away against France but a first half lapse against Ireland really let them slip. I do believe Wales should swing it, and probably by more than a score.

England France - I'm sticking with the roses here and though the French will be up for it for a while, they'll be battered down for England to win. Maybe a tryless game, but still think England will be ahead by 6+.

Scotland Ireland - Ireland have played poorly against better teams and well against poor teams, Scotland have only played poorly excepting the game against Italy. Can't see any other result than Ireland winning by a good couple of tries.

BB's for the games tonight and then will be texting my boss and giving him hassle during the final game of the round tomorrow.

That'll be the right place. Am over in Manila for the final games, though as it's a stag tour it's unlikely you'll see much of me (unless I need bailing out!)

Trust England to spoil the day!

Not a bad show from Wales in Rome despite that rain, pretty much flogged the normally sure Italian scrum plus nicely wrapped up with 2 easy tries. Again, Halfpenny showed his class - always in position and kicking well on form. Liking Ryan Jones back as captain too.

Scotland up next, going to be a tough one given the win against Ireland will give them lots of confidence at home.

And England power on....and France continue to power off :?

"Wales... by more than a score" - Wales by 17
"England by 6+" - England by 10
"Ireland by a couple of tries" - Scotland by 4.

Two out of three for me too! Wales again did what they had too, England had probably their toughest test of the 6N so far, and Ireland implode a domineering first half display by failing to score more than a penalty! How on earth Scotland won that I just don't know - it's probably more Ireland losing it!

A few standing up for the Lions - the front row looks to be between the Scots and Welsh, the back row a nice blend from across the nations, Tuilagi standing up tall, and the wingers are having trouble picking themselves due to lack of reasonable ball, though Halfpenny and Kearny both are looking good at fullback (sorry Ally Hogg, you're showing some good but others are ahead of you!)

Next weekend in Cardiff is going to be huge. A few combinations for winning the GS, a nice 8 point win will suffice for Wales to retain it, thanks!

Only a single combination for a Grand Slam. Only England can win it.

However, yes, Wales have a chance of the title by winning by more than 7 points. But it won't be a Grand Slam.

And three dire games over the weekend, rain effecting the France Irish game whilst the other two didn't really set anything apart.

Next week in Howzat then?

No problem, we'll just take the championship title instead then ! ;)

Didn't see the England v Italy match, sounds rather closer than your boys would have planned. As for Ireland v France, atrocious weather and thought Ireland were a bit unlucky to get just get the draw.

Wales v Scotland was a stop / start fest, something like the most penalties ever in a 6N match. Good to see Sam back on form, though with Ryan Jones likely to be out next weekend, wonder if he'll get the captaincy back.

Howzat will be full of bloody Englishmen.

And we did!!

By beating England 30-3 in an exciting, physically ruthless game - Wales dominated with pretty much the entire team - backs, forwards and everyone in between showing just what they are capable of at last. Biggest ever win over England too - all came right at the right time.

Kudos to Robshaw - he's a composed captain for England, and this young team will be a force in the next RWC for sure. Of course, they will meet the mighty Wales in their group ;)

Well done wales. But christ almighty, I was woken up by the constant moaning and whinging at the ref all over the interwebz. So loud that my browser started to cringe.

There was a little whinging about the reffing of the scrum early on from the boys and girls where I was, but have to say for the most part the English fans were gracious in defeat. Devastated but gracious ;)

Nice win for Italy over Ireland too, their first I believe.

Time to watch the Wales replay, lovely!
