I've discovered that the best way to save the furniture is to not let them in the house. Perhaps it's not the best way to save the small furry sector of the local community, but we don't seem to have any shortage of them anyway - not after a 1.5 year wet season.

No, my sister does not clip her cat's claws. But thenagain, her cat is extremely obedient.

Thanks Slinky, he is a lovely puss.

Slinky he really is a gorgeous animal...and he sure looks like an NFC, those eyes, the mane and the tail. So hard to believe that he just found you and didn't have a home. How could someone not love a gorgeous animal like him? Glad to hear that the claw clipping went OK.

Seems to be my kind of luck -- I got my Shetland Sheepdog the same way many years ago. She was a lost stray and Mr. S and I took her in -- best dog I've ever had and I really miss her  I saw a Sheltie in the pet shop in HV yesterday -- S$2800

found kits and pups are the best kind, aren't they?

and who needs to pump up the dog/cat mill industry with our hard-earned cash, anyway. every time i look at a pet shop puppy or kitten, all i can think of is their poor sire and dam stuck in battery hen cages back at the 'farm'. *bleurgh*
