The chubby little arm belongs to a young girl and is probably the result of the camera angle; could also be why the koala looks so small. (There is another photo of him having a drink but I don't know the child and I think unfair to publish.)

You're right, Bender, tough times to be a wild animal (and a newborn baby left in a car...) but I think he's enjoying his bath.

I made a right pig's ear of posting the pics didn't I? Crashed twice and I more or less just pressed the button a third time and hoped for the best.

it's hard on animals, that's for sure. over at our place the big black 'house spiders' that make those ugly funnellike webs under the roof literally cooked and fell dead on the ground (gotta love a steel roof)...
