Inspiration for Possum

Post by Fresh Mint » 27th Oct, '09, 13:10

If I can do it, surely you can, or will you concede that you have got your skinny All Black-loving ass round slapped by a Bok supporter.
Fresh Mint has quit smoking for 51 weeks, 2 days, 13 hours and 9 mins.
He has saved $5,416.96 by NOT smoking 9,708 cigarettes

Last time he dared her she lost and had to go on the reverse bungy... Could this be a second time she loses a bet to Minty?
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

I've lost count of the number of times she has been bent over my knee and spanked after losing yet another bet.

Serious Question;
How long before the need to light-up disappears? Is there like a point you can mark as a major turn point?

It never does.

The length of the craving shortens, but never goes away. It may just be a second or 2 craving, but you'll always have them.

I disagree with that. I think it can. I don't have cravings for them at all anymore. In fact quite the opposite, the thought of lighting up is really quite distasteful to me now, doesn't bother me if others light up but I tend not to sit next to them any more,not because of temptation but because I just don't like it. So it can go away...

Not recently. 11 months was my longest as a non-smoker. Then I got married.

Scummy Daddy gave up (voluntarily, i.e. I didn't nag) on 1/1/91.

He then returned home from a business trip about 4 years ago and "confessed" that he'd had 2 cigarettes (over 2 nights) while under the influence of Talisker.

He's just about out of the wheelchair now, but he says he still always wants to smoke even now but can resist it.

Sorry, no short term thing, it took months not to have that feeling, especially when out etc. I did give up because I wanted to though, it was my choice and I think that made the difference. I had tried to give up previously (like when pregnant etc) but in all honesty didn't really want to and so gave in eventually and still always had those cravings. This time round they just went away because I just didn't want to do it anymore.
