The Fall Season is about to open in the States. Prison Break, The Shield, Knight Rider, Life on Mars (US style), The Unit, The Simpsons season 20....all should be good. Hopefully the writers got their good quills out after that hassle last year!

Bring it on!

No, fall season in the US. Most the stuff on AXN Beyond and Sci Fi is somewhat old and somewhat cancelled.

There's a full version of Twin Peaks available now which includes the pilot episode.

I think I'll start collecting the original Star Trek series next. The modern Star Treks lost the concept completely in my view, and Kirk is nowhere to be seen on the Sci Fi channel here...

In Plain Sight (USA Network )
The Cleaner (A&E)

Both excellent & worth a look

I like Burn Notice which plays on the USA network here. Don't know whether S'pore gets it. It's about an ex spy.

Just watched the pilot episode of a new series by JJ Abrams (Lost, Alias) called Fringe - I enjoyed the pilot episode a lot! It's a mixture of detective whodunit with X-Files. I'm sure that there will be some twists and turns as well in the future, knowing that Abrams is behind this series. As a side note, the main actress as well as the guy playing the slightly kooky scientist, Walter Noble are all Aussies.

A lot of articles mention that it's a mix of The X-Files, The Twilight Zone, and Altered States. Can't wait to see the next episode!

The pilot is about a plane from Hamburg to the Logan Airport, where all of the passengers liquify mid-air.

This is the sneak peak for the second episode.

I see this thread started months ago, makes me wanna ask the question: to have Singapore TV or not?

With the exception of a few things that are supposed to be good like Lost (never saw an episode and you'll learn why shortly), and the majority being either heavily-censored movies, or endless repeats of said movies, or gawdawful American B- and C-grade s(h)itcoms, is it really worth the cost and time wasted?

At least that's all I remember when I had Starhub, for about a month, about 3 years ago, before I had it disconnected.

Have been perfectly happy to watch DVDs and listed to the BBC since, but I'm open to considering cable TV again.
I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book. Groucho Marx
