I like Spooks but we don't seem to be getting it here at the mo. We get the English footie of course and love the Thai football pundits at half-time - the F.A. Cup-kup

Re: TV to watch
For those watching various TV feeds, then there's a few returning series coming up. Damages started this week, the first series was a really good story and well done, with some good acting. Am looking forward to the second series which I'll watch sometime today.
24 series 7 starts. Jack's on trial and has just been taken back from Africa (see24:Redemption, not brilliant but you'll need it for the series to make sense).
In the UK, a new series, Demons, started this week. First episode was getting it on it's feet, but seems to be ok. It's about the descendants of Van Heilsing living now in modern day London. You'll all know Philip Glenister from Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, his role is somewhat different and may get you slightly confused when Gene Hunt speaks with an American accent!
Hopefully we've got the next series of Ashes to Ashes and Torchwood to look forward too. Would be a shame to miss them. And Primeval is back in Feb. So looking good for the next few weeks.

For those with informal TV feeds, the Sunday Night Project is very funny

They were advertising Demons in the UK when we were there in September, so I'd be surprised if there's not more of it out there somewhere for your viewing pleasure, Bob.

Re: TV to watch
Via my election obsession with Sarah Palin and Saturday Night Live, finally got hold of a copy of Tina Fey's 30 Rock. Fab show. Beautifully scripted and acted. Who'd have thought I'd like Alec Baldwin in something..?
And I second whoever said Weeds.

Re: TV to watch
Hmm, must be mixing it up with another programme then as I can't see they would advertise it so far ahead - it was splashed over buses and all. Will check with Neo when he gets home from school.
Re: TV to watch
Where are you getting Demons from? UK Nova says that download is delayed until later today for EP2
We are the TPF
Re: TV to watch
Revolutiontt has Demons
Re: TV to watch
Then i really pity you. Revolution is the ultimate.
p.s. but anyway, the feedback is that Demons is crap.

Re: TV to watch
am back from an extended leave, father passed away and am just getting caught up on things, so this may have been discussed before
me & Mrs. Sardy have since been glued to the set with Lost, which at season 3 I'm still not sure I even like but she does so we're well into it
a coworker passed on Boston Public, and described it as very dry-witted and comical, not what I get looking at the cover - anyone here catch that series?

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book. Groucho Marx

Re: TV to watch
The flipside to this is that you can find stuff there that that was uploaded ages ago and there will still be seeds.expat yorkshire wrote:The only issue with revolutiontt is super fast d/l mega slow u/l , i t can take ages to get your ratio back to 1.0

Re: TV to watch
Yeah, but the idea I took on ages ago was not to let my current torrents keep me at a ratio of 1. Find torrents which will have high uploads and use them to put your ratio above 1 by some way.
Then you're always in the positive!

Re: TV to watch
Sorry to hear about your father, Sardy.
We occasionally watched Boston Public - not sure if it was in Sg or way back in the UK. Nothing fantastic but watchable if there's nothing better on. Not confusing it with Boston Legal, are you? That reminds me of Ally McBeal, but without the anorexic chick.

I like spooks too. On BBC Entertainment tonight at 10pm. Spooks trivia; the building frontage that's shown as the HQ in Spooks is actually the entrance to Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street.phuketkaren wrote:I like Spooks but we don't seem to be getting it here at the mo. Another Spooks fan here. Currently watching Series 4 on DVD , although already caught series 5 on UK TV which was so-so.
Must say, they do a great line in (male) spies - Mathew McFadyn, Rupert Penry-Jones are both rather easy on the eye...
