Watched it on the back of this recommendation - so far 3 episodes and I am loving it... The main guy - the baddy as such is damn hot...

Burn Notice has started okay again - always fun for summer entertainment

He was one of fireman on Rescue Me -one of the best shows ever

New International Police Drama - ' Crossing Lines' watched the 2 hour premiere - ( Irish, Brit, German, French, American global investigative team) -seems to be good

Agreed, and thanks to you skank, it was your recommendation for Rescue Me a long time ago that got me to watch the show.

I love Episodes...it is excellent it is getting a 3rd series. As usual Channel 9 here couldn't understand it, put it on late at night, and missed out on a great audience. I hope we get the third series when it is out.

Is it just me that likes Elementary?

I can't get into Elementary, especially after liking British version so much more. Missed Episodes, off to look up

Phew - finally got around to the much-discussed GOT S6E9. I don't suppose it's a spoiler to call it unnecessarily brutal being that it's called "Red Wedding". I feel that they are pushing the envelope with these series.

BBC America just started Season 2 of 'Copper'

Based on/in/about the New Yorks Five Point area in the 1800's as the Civil War is winding down during the Gangs of New York era. Focuses on the delicate balance between the Irish immigrants, freed blacks, Union Generals & Boss Tweed like power brokers. The sets & costumes spare no expense in recreating the mostly Irish working class slums of 5 points in an era w/no electricity, cars & little running water. main character is an Irish Detective just back from the Civil War

This series is very one of the best things Ive seen on the Tube in the last few years
Highly recommend

I'll second skank's recommendation. I didn't expect to like it so much. Gritty, violent, extremely engaging.

Dexter is struggling this season.

Graceland is great. Crossing Lines not bad. Under the dome is good. Another easy watch is How to live with your parents. The lead is he blonde from scrubs. BoD has a lead role as well.

Lots I tried out from the posts here, important now that I'm into the doldrums between Mad Men, Homeland, House of Cards, Californication, Louie, Tremé, GoT, SoA, and Breaking Bad seasons.

Crossing Lines - tried it but didn't finish the first episode, just not my style

Graceland - saw 3 episodes, not bad for a B-level show, a bit too slick for its own good but will continue to watch

Vikings - an excellent alternative now that GOT is over

Episodes - It ain't no Louie but not bad, almost done with S1, takes the edge off of Vikings episodes and the like

Scandal, Elementary - only lasted about 15 minutes before switching off

Newsroom Season 2 - An A- / B+ show, liked season 1 and this looks to be about the same, could do without Emily Mortimer's overplayed drama

Under the Dome - Only when desperate

Falling Skies - up to E5, not really a keeper but like Under the Dome

Longmire - slightly better than Under the Dome

Community - Not sure about this one either

Justified - Up to S2E3, getting better, would rate this about B+ and now a regular show we watch

Orange Is the New Black - At E3 still watching to see where this goes, an odd concept that seems to work

The Following - Made it though E1, not sure will get past that

As we're not ones for gore don't watch things like Dexter though that seems to be pretty popular here.

There must be more and better shows I'm missing.

Been nicely surprised with Longmire, been enjoying it. I record it and watch in own time and mood. Agree, don't like elementary. Really enjoyed s1 justified and heard from others it improved further, so good tho know. Only got 30mins of Treme needed to give it a bit more time I suspect, but couldn't get into, did wonder though, had to give borrowed DVD back cause packing house.
