Hotel Recommendations Singapore
You'd think I'd know the best places but last time I was back in Singas a lot of new hotels had gone up.
Have a friend with twin babies coming to visit Singas. They want somewhere nice and central but are on a reasonable budget.
Places I thought of were Swissotel (is that exp??). What about the hotels around Boat Quay? Can't remember them? There were also some around River Valley Road?? Resort facilities??
Or what about Sentosa? Any ideas most appreciated. Ta

Re: Hotel Recommendations Singapore
What price range? Would think it would be difficult to get below $100/night, probably $150/night to get a reasonable place.

Re: Hotel Recommendations Singapore
I've just had my second stay in the Hangout at Mount Emily. They have some renovation work going on (well it is Singapore, lah) but I think it's a great place for the price. I paid an average of $85 a night for a private double with ensuite. Last year's room was very small and with no window but fine for sleeping in, which is all we needed. This time they upgraded me to a corner room with two windows, a couch, and more space, plus a brand new bathroom. Seriously considering booking again for September. (It's a backpacker, yes, but I see families there. No frills, no TV, etc., but spotlessly clean.)
There is also a shiny new Ibis at Bencoolen. No idea of prices but might be more suitable with babies.

Re: Hotel Recommendations Singapore
is there a citadines chain in Singapore?
out company has been using a few of their locations around asia and aus. think they can be a bit hit and miss sometimes. you can get a decently sized serviced apartment for price of hotel room or decent price. with twins that would be good for food prep, and a bit more space.

A friend just stayed at the Rendezvous Hotel on Bras Basah for under S$200, said it was really nice.
