So would you book a long distance flight plan with BA for later this year, even if the schedule was the best match?

I'd seriously look at flying to HK and then Air NZ to London. I dont think Air NZ has been on strike for years.
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

that's an arsewit way of doing it.Aliya wrote:I'd seriously look at flying to HK and then Air NZ to London. I dont think Air NZ has been on strike for years.
There are better options direct (SQ or Qantas) or indirect (Emirates, Eithiad), and then a thousand and one other airlines via a city near Singapore (KL or Bangkok) or a city near London (Paris, Frankfurt).
Going via HK is just putting loads of extra hours onto your flight, especially as Cathay/SQ won't link up with AirNZ in HK and therefore you have extra tax and time.

If you can fly with another airline I would Daff.
FB, if Daff is flying from Manila then HK is the logical stop, it's what we did (with er BA).

Fair call on the route, though again I wouldn't use two random airlines if I didn't have to. On that routing, use Cathay, they will make the process less painful.

i like Cathay business class. not bad at all, although no comparison with the new SQ A380 seats.

Yes, Cathay or SQ looking to be the best option. If the latter, could pop in for a pre-Xmas drink on the way

The new A380 "seats" are not seats, they are something that is good for your to lie down in. The seat hardly reclines, the foot rest hardly coems up, and personally I find them horrible to sit in. Even my large frame wobbles around in such seats!Morrolan wrote:i like Cathay business class. not bad at all, although no comparison with the new SQ A380 seats.
However, for sleeping they are good.

you definitely have a point: when it comes to sitting, there are better airplane seats.Fat Bob wrote:The new A380 "seats" are not seats, they are something that is good for your to lie down in. For long-haul flights, I personally prefer Malaysian Airlines. The service and the food are just so much better than any airline I've flown, and the seat has more legroom in comparison to SQ seats). I regularly fly SQ for work; it's overrated.
