Visa for Vietnam

Has anyone got a visa for Vietnam lately? Looked on line, can find the form but now how long it takes and how much it is.

dad did this in Oct, have to go to visa office somewhere off the beaten path, doesn't take long but the office is only open limited hours and they take lunch on Vietnam time.

Only open in the AM, I think you can get the form online, but count on 2 visits, 1 to drop off and then pick up a couple days later . I think $50?

Actually it will take 5 days, drop it off on Monday and pick it up Friday. And it will cost $70. You can pay more to get it in 2 days but I don't know how much. The Vietnam Embassy is at 10 Leedon Park

Or, if you used a travel agent, get them to do it for you. They might charge you, but it saves mucking around

Well it isn't exactly on a main road is it?

While you are there you can always check out the two matching houses opposite, they always make me laugh. I figure they must be owned by relatives, otherwise why would anyone pay squillions for a house that looks just like his neighbours, the only noticeable difference being with or without the fountain in the middle of the driveway??
