Is it wise to go on rugby tour Thurs-Sat and then Maldives Sat-Sun (a whole week)?

FB in a quandry

Post by Fat Bob » 19th Sep, '10, 15:19

I have a dive trip to the Maldives booked. My flight leaves at 8:20pm on the Saturday evening.

There's also a rugby tour, which I would normally go on but the dive trip has clashed. Normally for this rugby tour it's up on thursday even and back on sunday, but there is a flight leaving Saturday lunch time, which would get me back into Singapore for a whistle-stop tour to home, pick up kit and head back out.

So, waddya think?

Given the way you've worded the options, I reckon you've made your mind up and don't need input. So you may not be gay, but you'll likely be buggered.

What's a quandry anyway?

Just found out I've spelt it wrong, it's meant to be spelt "quandary".

A quandry is what you have after you accidentally wash a pair of red undies with your whites.
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

I don't think I'd chance it unless I was confident that I could catch another flight to the Maldives if I miss the one I've booked. But then I'm probably gay cos I have cats.

like they've all said, you've got a plan and means to do both. the only practical risk aspect as I can see are (1) can get enough out of 2days to enjoy Rugby (probably fine, knowing yourself), (2) what injury risk - in which case presume you've got insurance on the dive trip (3) risk of flight delay on the midday flight (airline, reputation of co and region etc). On the 3rd if you've got 6-7 hrs to play with then probably ok - but my only suggestion would be to either store kit at the airport, or have a good friend meet you at airport to transfer kit to you at departures. [last 5 yrs has made me very very wary about delays & connections in Asia AND Aus]

I think the fact that you're even asking this question means you're gay - it's the kind of thing a chick would ask [popcornana]

Oh, I won't be playing rugby, that happens on the Saturday, I'm not staying for that. So main injury worry is whatever I get up to on Thursday night and Friday daytime (remembering last couple of years, Friday night doesn't really happen!)

There's over 7 hours between flights so yes, and according to flightstats.com, the flight I'm catching has a 100% flight record and mean delay of 5 mins, so I reckon go for it.

And scrummy, with you. So to shake the gayness I'm doing it!

He'll be whacking people with his handbag if he misses that flight to the Maldives.

I'll be enjoying a bit of money from both airline and travel insurance methinks.
