Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Post by Fat Bob » 17th Dec, '11, 01:39

Just watched Tom Cruise's 4th outing as Ethan Hunt, and for those that enjoy scenes of Tom running, explosions, car chases, fights and the use of gadgets in all of the above, then this is another one for you.

The story?
Spoiler: toggle
Surprisingly, Ethan Hunt's crew gets screwed over by someone and they get disavowed. They work hard to right those wrongs and fix everything.
My take: fantastic. Really enjoyed watching it and happily spent the Gold Class money to do so. And I'll buy it on DVD too.

And yes, i know Mission Impossible/Tom Cruise is not everyone's cup of tea, this movie probably won't change your mind.

And here's the trailer:

Oh and Simon Pegg is great in his role. Vrings a nice bit of geeky comedy to it. Talking of Simon Pegg, wonder when the next Star Trek is out?

Ah, Wiki says May 2013. If I was a chick I would pout!

We saw it yesterday, loved it too! Typical over the top MI stuff, lots of fun and action.
And yeah, Simon Pegg was great in it, just funny enough, that guy is so good.

Just seen he's done another movie with Nick Frost: Paul. It's about a year old, so will tell you what it's like before the New Year methinks!

Sounds good. Oh wait - is Cruise in it? Nevermind.

They are going to make Top Gun 2. I imagine that will be the next Tom Cruise movie I'll watch.

Tom Cruise isn't aging very well. Would have been a nice movie if he wasn't in it.

Heard Simon Pegg in a radio interview on JJJ and he really made me chuckle heaps, came pretty close to making me want to see MI (which amused me considering who the star is, and the reason I won't). Think he's just done a voice over movie too (wasn't Tin Tin was it????)

I was reading up on Simon Pegg yesterday and seem to remember Tin Tin being included (which was also jolly good fun to watch). He played one of the bumbling policemen.

Crazy film though admire Tom Cruise for doing that stunt - great effects, crazy story :)

Saw it last night. Basically a hollywood xtravaganza - bombs bullets hot babes
fate of the world at stake , evil bad guys, etc

Great stuff - 007 eat your heart out

Of course the story is ludicrous but it was great fun to watch in IMAX
Especially Tom Cruise's unbelievable stuntwork on the outside of the Burj Khalifa
Say what you want but puts him in a league of his own

The skankster who is 11 pronounced it a 'great movie' wants to see it again ASAP
