Phuket - Keith Floyd's or the Boathouse?

Post by cromasaig » 6th May, '08, 16:08

We're heading to Phuket this weekend for a cheapie.

Fancy one decent dinner though. Given FB's recent good experience at Floyd's Brasserie (loathed in equal measure by others), has anyone eaten at both? In which case, which should we go for?

Not eaten at Floyds but have stayed, and eaten, at The Boathouse a couple of times.

The food is ok, not particularly exiting but definitely a step up from your average Thai diner at Kata Beach if you're looking for a more upmarket experience. The wine list is something else - a great selection, including fine dessert wines too.

Enjoy ! And report back on your choice! :D

totally agree with Daff about the Boathouse - ok food, really good wine list and fantastic loacation / setting. As I said earlier, the big let down with Phuket is the food
