No, but you should have the VHS tapes put straight on to a hard drive. You can always burn a DVD off the hard drive as needed and the video will just sit on a hard drive (or 2, better back it up) for pretty much eternity :)

In Sim Lim Tower (not Square), in the basement, in the back corner, is a shop that sells jumbles of electronics parts in bins. In that shop I've seen a sign that says they do it, but I'm not sure of the price. Next time Mr VS is heading there for parts I'll ask him to check that out and report back to you, OK?
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

Ok, thanks both.

Found a video of our wedding and a collection of Leeds United videos!

Mr. S is in the process of helping his mother (long distance) get all her old Super 8 (or whatever it is) films converted to digital and put on a hard drive. He's also backing up all our digital photos & movies here -- he's got what feels like 6000 hard drives lying around all over the place right how

I've about 10 hard drives, but they're all labelled and consolidated now!

why not do it yourself? you can get a DVD-VCR recorder for a few bucks nowadays, probably cheaper than actually getting someone to do it.
