I can't believe I have to ask this

Post by slinky » 28th Sep, '10, 17:18

So, the knob to turn on the oven and set the temperature has mysteriously disappeared. As I went to get something into the oven for dinner tonight I was greeted by the sight of a metal rod sticking out and no plastic knob to turn on and adjust temp. WTF?

Anyway, any thoughts on where I can buy a replacement knob? It's an Elba electric oven that just slides in under the cooktop.

Try here. You'll need to know the model number of the oven.

That's as good a guess as any, Bender. No one here is admitting to anything [smilie=23_3.gif]

Have you checked the vacuum bag?

The knob is way too big to end up in the vacuum  Pretty sure we didn't eat it last night either ;)

The aircon man was here cleaning all the aircon units and had his teenage-ish son helping out, but, really, it's too ridiculous to seriously consider that either of them would have taken it - I mean what in the world would they want it for?? I'm at a loss to figure it out.

Anyhow, thanks to Bender's link, I can likely get a replacement for about $8.50 -- assuming I can actually find the place that is
