Welcome to....

Post by Dinosaur » 26th Nov, '08, 18:55

I'd just like to suggest you might want to send a PM to new members if there is a "welcome to...." thread for them. New members might not be familiar with the board. I've just found a "welcome to..." for me from August :( Belated thank-yous.

I've still no idea why anyone would say "Welcome to...." anyone. Most the time they are random people and never answer! Seems a bit freaky and stalker-like to me!

I welcomed phuketkaren because I invited her over here. Ditto rosbif71.

Strangely, I didn't welcome the guy that registered just to try to get a bargain out of sms. Wind your neck in. :P

I didn't want poor rosbif thinking all Sg expats spend their days arguing about expat packages, maids, schools and SPGs, so I invited him to a much happier place where they just speak crap all day instead.

So you stalked him/her on another board and then stalked him here?

Well I think it's a very nice idea and I appreciate the welcome (albeit rather belatedly) and am very touched [4980.gif] Some other forums are just so nasty and I think I am misunderstood - or maybe it's just the sarcasm [smilie=w00t.gif]
