"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

What we need is a dancing banana blowing a raspberry, dammit.

Congratulations. Mine were 6.30, though to be fair we're normally clear from 7-7.

Up at 7.

Pony riding and a Rugby tournament.

Not at the same time, I hasten to add. Pony for BFG Minorette, Rugby for BFG Minor.

But I suppose you already knew that....

Oh yes, isn't it wonderful when you get to sleep in? My two are up so early on weekends (have to drag them out of bed on school days) but they now creep around and start playing on their game consoles instead of waking me up (note I said me and not Mr Purr...they never ever wake him up  ).

I feel such a bad parent, but it is so nice to sleep in sometimes.

'sleep in'? What is this 'sleep in' you all speak of? Where can I buy one?

I'm lucky if I'm still asleep at 5:30. I used to be one of the great sleepers, but that all changed about 8 years ago. When the early wake-ups started, I hated it and fought it, but over the years I've learnt to accept and even like it. Except for winter when it's freezing.

A sleep-in means getting up at 08.30am? You lot have lost the plot... a sleep in means not leaving the bed until the evening papers hit the streets.

None of you has cats that still don't understand the concept of light mornings, obviously. Even after the clocks changed, they still dance on our heads before 6am.

And try as I might, I can't seem to go to sleep before about 12.30am, so I'm often a grumpy guts.

You want to try grumpy, you really want grumpy ,you try f'wits who travel in business class with their child and think it's alright to lead by example to it by talking at normal full voice across a walkway to the little shytes who won't shut up on a flight that leaves at 3:30am. I'll show you grumpy.

I can see something wrong with kids in any part of the plane. Except the engines maybe......

That's a little extreme, FB. I can't see any objection to keeping them in the hold, assuming they are tied down

I'll bet if you woke the kids up after they finally slept would have made the parents really grumpy .... why do parents think that a screaming brat does not inconvenience other travellers and hence make no effort to calm the bugger down?

kid wasn't screaming so that was a relief, but constantly yabbering at full voice, and the frigg'n mother talked back at normal voice volume to keep it entertained and so it could hear her across the mini corridor, and constantly opening and shutting the overhead locker over mind to find crap to entertain it. My biggest issue was the frigg'n parents who lead by example, instead of lowering the voice and talking at quietened volume, they basically encouraged this kid that it was ok to talk at normal voice because they were. And maybe they would have been better off in economy where they could sit next to each other!
