Do what my brother does.
Every month hide one of their toys and at the end of the year wrap them all up again and pretend they're new presents. AT that age they can't tell the difference anyway.

Re: Christmas pressies for the girls
If anyone has boys (or indeed girls) around 3 who like trains, I can thoroughly recommend the Tomy Thomas range (the blue plastic track and moving trains ones on display in Toys R Us Vivo). We bought a small set for Mini for Xmas but ended up giving it to him on Sunday as were both feeling grotty from tummy bug and struggling to occupy him without putting TV on all day.
He loves it, and has played with it constantly ever since.
I just bought loads more on ebay UK for a fraction of the cost. Crom - if you've anyone coming to you for Xmas you might want to do the same and they can bring it.
