20 grand for kids

Post by JC » 6th Jan, '11, 10:00

Read in a report about how increasing scores of parents are willing to pay more for their kids to be deposited at childcare houses charging up to 20 grand a year, even more than what you'd pay for in a full-term degree course at a local university here in Singapore! How do we know these childcare houses are really delivering value for money? Is this also a way of assimilating kids into social clubs at a very young age?

$20k per year? Sounds like the cost of a private school in the UK - well, and the international schools here (including at a young age).

basic childcare? or hot house education centres? not sure what the post is about. What is meant by value, what are the desired outcomes and measures?

Could be there's an offer for kids: a $20k offer.

I'd give you my kid for that. If I had any.
