JB Hi-Fi

Post by daffodil » 15th Jan, '09, 17:33

They've taken over what used to be DFS at the bottom of The Strand Arcade in the City.

Never been to the store before - absolutely fabulous selection of music and DVD's at great prices. Got some Dr Who, Underbelly uncut, Layercake all for under $100. Loads of variety it seems.

Now I need to locate the TV to watch post before my next stock up visit - can't see it in the reveiws section anymore? Anyone?

You've never been to JB Hi Fi :o

OMG, I almost live there when I visit back home. I catch up on all the stuff I miss out on here in Sing. Sad I know.

Cheers FB - for some reason had totally missed that it had it's own little sub-forum and was looking in the movies section. Doh!

Cool, we'll be round soon to borrow them all. :D

edit: Um, although I think we have 2 of the 3 you've mentioned and I'm sure Neo has all the Dr Who "somehow".

Neo offered to lend me Underbelly after he watched it but can't wait that long ;) Plus, from the reviews, it's something I'll likely want to watch again anyway. As for Layercake - it was around the price of a latte so no worries!

Speaking of Underbelly - last night I watched the first episode of a two part special, False Witness, which was produced by the same team. So far so good - international espionage / action thriller starring Dougray Scott. It's showing on UKTV and have the 2nd part set to record tonight.

The second part of False Witness was every bit as good the first. Sydney looked... well has to be said, bloody spectacular.

There sure are some nasty people around, eh.... :)
