I woke up late today due to last night's work Xmas party. Head hurts a little, but the Test match updates are doing good and found a reasonable hooky streaming site. One more to go! GO ON ENGLAND!

Great post Snaffled!! So good to hear that there are great working teams out there, what added satisfaction that is to your work life.

And the last 5-6 posts made me smile and chuckle. (perhaps helped along now I'm off a plane surrounded by family for 9hrs, and about to order a second drink)

edit: that's pre FB post obviously :D

Ladies and Gentlemen, FB is up and running, all systems set to "GO - FULL SPEED AHEAD!"

Looking forward to my annual review early week major achievements include doing some science stuff that no one has done before, getting a bonus for last years science stuff, energy savings of 17% compared to last year (working out at a cool $100k plus savings!) and starting up some studying to learn more about some science stuff.

Cool, hopefully can start the next leap up the career ladder (read more money and better reward scheme).

We have our End of Year departmental presentation/review on Friday; we were asked to come up with 3 achievements for our team. My only suggestion was "Against all odds, we retained a modicum of sanity".

But I'm happy, 'cos I'm off tomorrow, and I'm about to go try out those alcoholic slushies.

Woohoo...I am happy because today I finished all my Christmas shopping. I am feeling very smug about it all because I set myself a deadline and made it and had fun along the way...now for the next best bit, the wrapping, which always includes a few glasses of bubbly. [xmascheers]

I haven't done any Christmas shopping. Maybe that's another reason I'm happy.

well I've been on a work trip, whilst off in the tad middle back of beyond, the people have been fan-bloody-tastic. A design I wasn't so sure about how to do, has been done here, and a stack of information about it shared, with no agenda other than to be as much help as possible, and no restriction on access. Can't tell you how much that made it worth getting on the plane, and I have an extra 2 days to go over it all by myself and take photos and get it all mapped out, plus have a meeting Monday with the Italian/German designer that helped do the upgrade here. One small step towards a whole solution - helping me to sleep better and night....

I've got to also say a happy (but actually really not good thing!!!) is the plonking of a massive plate of reggiano cheese in front of us at the bar like it's a normal snack to get stuck into. (oh my god, I've never eaten so many meat cold cuts, fantastic but my stomach is confused with all this protein...)

Today I'm happy that I keep spare cash at home !

ATM's in Manila still "Out of service" due to the run on cash following 13th month pay being credited by most companies over the last week. Gotta love living in a cash economy :D

I'm happy because tomorrow I will not have to talk to barely a soul until Thursday, and as much as this has been a good work trip, I am darn pleased to be heading home!

We need a Not Happy Today thread. Working with the jokers I do, I could keep that one going for months.
