What are you happy about today?

Post by Fat Bob » 1st Dec, '10, 10:31

As this seems to be my Happy Days, then I thought I'd spread my happiness with the world. So, a thread detailing on what I'm happy about today.

Since I've not posted before, then I'll post a bit of my happiness over the last few weeks:

1: Heading to Vegas in Feb and sorted out most fo the hotels and transport: should be good to meet up with friends and parents, especially dad who has....
2:....my dad has just been giving the all-clear after 16 months of bowel cancer therapy, including pre-op drugs, op, post-op drugs. He's off the drugs a couple of weeks ago and the side effects are reducing.
3: England beat Australia and Samoa, and had some good moments against NZ. Remember, this is happy talk, so we won't talk about the South Africa game.
4: Off to Sydney in a couple of weeks time to do some wine tasting and U2 watching.
5: Phuket rugby tour. 'Nuff said.
6: Rocky Horror Show is coming to Singapore. 'Nuff said.
7: HK7s. 'Nuff said.

So, todays happiness is: I've been recommended a breakfast place in Sydney for when I arrive (see number 4 above).

Feel free to have happy thoughts. Any unhappy thoughts or nasty thoughts to other people will be deleted.

Good to hear about your old man FB.

Now the Vegas trip, are you going to tell everyone it is for your 40th or did you want to keep that a secret ?
So…if you wish to wish a wish, you may swish for fish with my Ish wish dish.

I can't imagine Rocky Horror in Singapore. All my experiences were of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which ran for years and years at the 8th Street Playhouse in NYC and it was pandemonium in the audience - costumes, people throwing rice, toilet paper, toast, you name it. Dancing and singing and the entire sub-script of lines you shout back at the screen. I remember renting the video once to actually see the movie without interruption, and it was weird. Does the audience freak out at the stage show, or just sit and watch like normal people?

I've got no reason to hide my age: never have, never will. I'm as young as the girl I feel!

Rocky Horror should be good.

And yeah, top news about dad, best get on his good side, don't want him changing the will! He is spending my inheritence, though, going to bloody Vegas in business class!

oooh errr that's the other thing I was way happy about, some folk have the Mad Men 4 downloads ready for me to pick up at Xmas! (Finished series 3 the other day and it was a doozy of a final episode). I anticipate a week of slovenly TV holidays heaven (with drink in hand obviously) And if I can get the True Blood series 3 on disc I'd be one happy little summer holiday laziness bunny...

You've not, season 4 has just finished.

You should be happy that you've got plenty of further season to go!

Great news about your Dad, FB!

Today I am happy that I can box up the Christmas presents for the nieces and nephews in Indiana and ship it off tomorrow -- no UPS charges this year, plenty of time for Pre-Christmas arrival [xmas-nana]

Good news about your Dad, FB.

I'm happy that I'm finally able to get on with the packing/sorting and, for minutes at a time, feel in control........

I'm not dead yet. I'm happy about that. Of course, if I was, I couldn't be happy but then I wouldn't be unhappy either cause none of my glands or receptors would be working.
