And for 3 good reasons.
1: The font of my knowledge did not specify it was Burns Night.
2: I moved yesterday.
3: It's something to do with jocks, and therefore I don't care.

Re: Happy Burns' Night
There's little if any protesting going on there. If you think that I have secret ambitions to wear skirts, have ginger hair, speak uninteligably, eat haggis and paint my face blue, then you have a warped mind.
Though I have my own skirt, have eaten and enjoyed haggis and do speak unintelligably quite often is bye the way!

That's what passes for a Friday night round my place.Fat Bob wrote:wear skirts, have ginger hair, speak uninteligably, eat haggis and paint my face blue
Unfortunately I couldn't get any haggis in Frankfurt (plus I forgot it was Burns' night until just about bedtime.
Did you hear, Slinks, that they've overturned the ban on haggis in the US? If I weren't swearing off smilies, a banana would be dancing. Possibly accompanied by a mango. It may soon be the last remaining source of income the Scottish economy has.

Yup, it contained sheep's lung in it. And the seppos thought that was....well, not too sure what they thought but hey!

Sheep lung, yeah, well, call it my 'seppo-ness' but, I'm not too sure what I think of that either.......
Edit: For the record, can't say I'm keen on eating the lungs from anything

Re: Happy Burns' Night
I've had beef lung. Still can't figure out how something can be chewy and mushy at the same time.
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

Re: Happy Burns' Night
It does contain sheep's heart, liver & lungs. Doesn't sound great, I admit, but it tastes brilliant.
And if you flinch at the ingredients of haggis, NEVER EAT A SAUSAGE.
