No photoshop just luck. There was a thunderstorm at 5:00 which cleared the sky and by 600pm it had stopped raining

That's funny I asked the same thing about a photo Mr PP sent us and he gave a very similar answer, of course it doesn't hurt the typhoon was on it's way and blew a lot of that smog away for a while.

Great pic EPY...

We went on Sunday. Had lunch over at the Flyer and walked from there over that helix bridge. Had to wait 10 min or so to get the tix for the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest Dome but once inside those it wasn't too unbearably crowded. We didn't walk around the area of 'trees' outside where you can walk on the catwalks connecting them though (I think that area is shown in one of EPY's photos above) -- it was pretty hot & sunny and we decided to stick with the cool places once we got there. They do have discounted rates for Residents, so that's nice. I'd like to go back and check out the tree forest area another time.

Edit: I'd guess that like most things in Singapore, if you go before lunch time on the weekends you'll practically have it to yourself!!

We did the treetop walk. It was nice. (I thought hte view from the marina barrage was more breathtaking) . There are lifts so you don't have to climb. Also, the stairs werent' completed so you have to take te lift ($5 pax)

I felt it best to take the tram to the end (the supertree sturctures/foodcourt area) and walk back through the themed gardens. We didnt do any of the dome as our children are too young for that. We only did the main area.

Somehow I think I prefer the botanical gardens more than gardens by the bay.

It is pretty 'wow,' Av. Just the parts I saw were pretty stunning, so I want to get back and do the treetop thing. This place is going to be a definite on the list when my in-laws are here in December.

I was wondering what it was like, so has anyone gone and done the treetop bit? I want to do it but having a bit of trouble convincing the others that it will be fun. I'm trying to make a list of things to do that we haven't already done in Singapore, so I can keep the boys interested. I am not allowed to mention the zoo at all...

Not to totally take over the picture thread with stuff to do talk  BUT, the zoo is undergoing big construction right now, PP (I was just there on Monday). They are putting in a series of river attractions with stuff from famous river locations from around the world and giant pandas will be included [smilie=groovy.gif] Not sure exactly when it opens, but it does say 'coming 2012' so perhaps by the end of the year.

Ok, back to the photos :D

Both have gone with American Club camp and little boy slink had an outing with his Cub Scout den there last Spring. I have not been with them when they have gone. I think they find it fun though.
