They are using AC/DC's Thunderstruck guitar intro for their latest gumpf.
That's my ring tone.

What's a gumpf?
I guess I've always preferred ring tones that just ring in some way, shape or form. Not a fan of music blasting out of the phone as a 'ring tone'

Oh, and looking at this section, it seems we need a sub-section of Fat Bob's bastard threads a la Fat Bob's Happy Days

"gumpf" - I had to do a google search for full meaning, and the Urban Dictionary said this "The lowest qualitative measure in the epistemological hierarchy of wisdom, knowledge, information, data, gumpf."
Which aptly fits the infomercial of their latest shows.
Oh, and the whole Bones meets Dexter. No they don't! One is on Fox, the other is on Fox Crime. That's not meeting, that's just beeing on two channels that have the same name in them. But that's a different set of channels, so really deserves it's own B@st@rd thread.

Totally agree with FB. AXN and Star are filled with gumpf.

Re: B@st@rd AXN!
Must say, I do have it on in the background, but there's rarely anything new on it. Most of the Top Gear on BBC (whatever) I've seen, same with the repeats of Spooks on BBC Entertainment. I know Granda show current episodes of Emerdale and Corrie, but not a fan. Outside of that? Eurostar show a lot of rugby including Heineken Cup and Aviva Premiership - after that I just don't bother.
Shame that you HAVE to have 3 basic channels before having the Sports group!
BUT - my original complaint is that I start looking for my phone, wondering why it's over by the TV.....
