Does anyone understand what pure torture it is to have a test bakery in their work place, particularly when whatever they are doing smells really really yummy and reminds you of that nice pastry smell in bakeries that make their own pies. And they don't share very often. Torture.

Add to that, by some freak of engineering, something about the ventilation set up directs all cooking smells into your office.

It must be if all you have to rant about is the smell of fresh baked bread and pastries!

I did contract work for a few weeks at the Health Insurance Commission's national office in Canberra once. The building is across the road from a large KFC and the fresh air intake for the aircon is on that side of the building. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

My school dormitory was right behind a McDonald's so I had to smell the fumes every day. I still can't eat McDonald's stuff to this day... makes me gag.
