Tricycles
Does anyone know who in Singapore stocks a decent range of kids tricycles ?
Toys-R-Crap and Cantaforde have a very small collection that looks like it'll fall apart in seconds.
I would love to find a place that sells Kettler trikes in Singapore but can't find anyone.
Oh, and I am looking for a trike with pedals. Can't believe how many battery operated trikes, cars and gizmos are available these days. No wonder we have a problem with child obesity.

Re: Tricycles
I have no idea if they sell trikes, but have you looked at the Trek bike shops? I know they have nice bikes with training wheels for little kids (but they're not cheap).

Re: Tricycles
You can get cheap ones in Carrefour for about $50, but not sure what extra you're after in terms of quality.

Re: Tricycles
Had a look at Cantafford yesterday. My fear is that super hyper destructive extreme ADHD BBIII will manage to smash them to pieces in about 45mins. Hence the desire to get one that a) is made of metal and b) can strap him into it.

Re: Tricycles
Yeah, I chuckled when I saw the harness in the second photo, that ought to take care of the ADHD problem. Be prepared, he won't be as excited to ride it as he will be to push it (from that long appealing handle at the back), into anything that he can smash in his path!
I also got mine from Carrefour for dirt cheap and so far it's lasted, but we don't use it as much as I'd hoped. If I'm completely honest it's a hunk of crap.

A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.
Re: Tricycles
Careful with metal, baloo, the slinkies bikes are pretty rusted these days from being outside. When we get new, better quality ones they'll have to reside in the basement and be carried up for use. (But, I guess a tricycle is only good for a limited amount of time anyway, right?)

Re: Tricycles
Good point. Hopefully this one will be resistant to baby drool. The seat adjusts so it's meant to be suitable for ages 1 to 4, but we'll see.

Re: Tricycles
Drool probably won't be a huge issue Our bikes have always been protected from direct rain, so it's not as if they get soaked on a regular basis but just being outdoors is all it takes for the rust to take over. Oh, and the vinyl seats are looking rather mildewed too. (the bikes are actually pretty gross right now.......wonder if they'd be snatched up anyway if I place them out by the bins.... )

Re: Tricycles
make sure the axles/wheel structure is full metal as well; Little M had a great little tricycle all made of metal (or so we thought) after a couple of months the wheel came off. turns out the securing pin that goes into the axle securing the wheel is made of plastic...

Re: Tricycles
Looking at the spare parts list, it doesn't seem to have key plastic pieces.

Re: Tricycles
Baloo: Is it the same Kettler that makes treadmills etc? If so I passed a Kettler shop in Centrepoint today. Have you tried there?
